Important information: This position is limited to 18 months.

In this role, you are the central point of contact for legal advice to our Purchasing, Private Label, Logistics, and Product Safety teams. You combine legal precision with a pragmatic understanding of trade and supply chain processes, helping ensure our products reach the market in a legally compliant, efficient, and consumer-friendly way.

TASKS WITH IMPACT

  • You advise on all legal questions relating to the products Douglas sells online and in stores - from procurement through product labeling to regulatory requirements.
  • You draft, review, and negotiate national and international purchasing and supplier agreements for trade goods as well as products from our Douglas private labels.
  • You advise on legal matters relating to product safety and product compliance, particularly in the case of recalls, regulatory complaints, labeling issues, and other product-related compliance topics.
  • You advise on regulatory topics relating to Douglas's product assortment, in particular requirements under the Cosmetics Regulation, the Product Safety Regulation, and packaging law requirements.
  • You advise on the drafting, review, and negotiation of logistics contracts as well as legal questions arising along logistics processes.
  • You keep track of legislative changes in your area and proactively inform the relevant business units at an early stage.
  • You develop and regularly deliver training sessions for the business units.

YOUR SKILLS

Alongside these competencies, we’re looking for the following skills:

  • Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d), ideally with international experience (e.g., LL.M.)
  • Several years of professional experience in an international company or an internationally active commercial law firm
  • Experience negotiating complex purchasing, supplier, logistics, or other commercial contracts in a corporate group environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the Cosmetics Regulation and the Packaging Regulation
  • Independent working style combined with a solution-oriented approach
  • High degree of planning and organizational skills in an agile company within a fast-paced industry
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management and a good understanding of purchasing, supply chain, logistics, and product safety processes
  • Business fluent German (C2) and very good English skills (B2)
